Chris Mugan is a freelance arts journalist who has written about culture for The Independent, FT and Arts Quarterly magazine. He has also contributed to several art and design books: Going Once: 250 Years of Culture, Taste and Collecting at Christie's, The Art of the Erotic and Chair: 500 Designs That Matter, all published by Phaidon.
