Scenes started off as a small distraction for myself and an opportunity to keep our collection active during the first period of the Covid 19 lockdown.
Each day a landscape from the Southend Museum permanent collection was selected and uploaded to twitter, along with as much information on the artist as the site allowed.
In addition to the Beecroft Art Gallery, Scenes showed work held by ESCALA (Essex Collection of Art from Latin America), Pallant House and The Foundation for Essex Arts.
