Part of the Courtauld Institute of Art, The Courtauld Gallery is most well-known for its collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artworks, unrivalled in the United Kingdom. Its 20th Century Collection is an eclectic and unusual mix of artworks, drawn from those mainly French works from the 1900s onwards within the Samuel Courtauld collection, but also significant gifts and donations that have added to the collection throughout the last century; most notably the Princes Gate Collection, but also the gifts from Pamela Diamond, Roger Fry's daughter, as well as those from Lilian Browse and Alastair Hunter.

Artists featured in this Curation: John Armstrong (1893–1973), Frank Helmuth Auerbach (1931–2024), César Baldaccini (1921–1998), Vanessa Bell (1879–1961), Pierre Bonnard (1867–1947), Jane Simone Bussy (1906–1960), Anthony Caro (1924–2013), Harold Cash (1895–1977), Prunella Clough (1919–1999), William George Constable (1887–1976), and 71 more
