Glasgow Museums 20th Century collection is presented at the Kelvingrove close to the River Kelvin, Glasgow University and the park. It includes an exceptionally good group of works by French artists, from Bonnard to Matisse and an iconic Salvador Dali painting, as well as a good representation of English artists. Naturally its strength in depth are with Scottish 20th Century artists, with strong representations through the Glasgow Boys and Scottish Colourists to the artists emerging from the Glasgow School of Art in the late 1980s and early 1990s. In this it has been helped by an exceptional director in T.J. Honeyman and monies from the Hamilton Trust and the William McInnes collection. Part One: Jankel Adler to Merlyn Evans.

Artists featured in this Curation: Edward Baird (1904–1949), Jankel Adler (1895–1949), Henry Young Alison (1889–1972), Louise Gibson Annand (1915–2012), Mary Nicol Neill Armour (1902–2000), John Armstrong (1893–1973), Frank Helmuth Auerbach (b.1931), Martin Baillie (1920–2012), Lesley Banks (b.1962), Delmar Harmood Banner (1896–1983), and 66 more
