Always associated foremost with its Summer Exhibition, the Royal Academy of Arts in London has had a collection ever since its founding in 1768. Artworks have often been given by the artists themselves, especially their diploma work on being elected a Member of the Royal Academy. Now with a collection of approaching 1,000 paintings and 350 sculptures, along with 25,000 prints and drawings, it has naturally one of the strongest collections of Modern British Art in the United Kingdom. Part One: Eileen Agar to John Hoyland.

Artists featured in this Curation: Eileen Agar (1899–1991), John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge (1905–1983), Kenneth Armitage (1916–2002), John Armstrong (1893–1973), James Bateman (1893–1959), Edward Bawden (1903–1989), Walter Bayes (1869–1955), Robert Anning Bell (1863–1933), John Bellany (1942–2013), Adrian Berg (1929–2011), and 52 more
