There has been a University Museum Collection at Aberystwyth since its foundation in 1872. Enriched by bequests amongst its holdings of 18,000 prints, photographs, drawings, watercolours, ceramics, paintings and sculpture of national and international significance since the 15th Century, particular strengths can be seen within its 20th Century print collection, early 20th century British pioneer studio pottery and artist collections and archives and related materials by such artists as Handel Evans.
