The Mercer Art Gallery is housed in Harrogate's elegant former Promenade Rooms and is situated just 100 yards from the entrance to the Valley Gardens and the Royal Pump Room Museum. This year is the Mercer's 20th anniversary and to celebrate, the Gallery has undergone redecoration and refurbishment.

The Mercer Art Gallery is home to Harrogate District's Collection of Fine Art. It is open to the public Tuesday to Sunday and on Bank Holiday Mondays. Admission is free. The Mercer provides an extensive education programme for children and adults as well as many special events throughout the year.
