Craven Museum & Gallery has a very varied art collection of paintings, prints, photographs and plaques. They mostly depict local people, places and events and have been donated to the museum since its foundation in 1934. The collection includes many local artists such as Kenneth Holmes ARA, Marmaduke Miller and Bill Wild and many more obscure artists.
Located in Skipton Town Hall, Craven Museum & Gallery has impressive displays of social history, archaeology, costume art and Shakespeare's First Folio. The exhibition gallery on the ground floor shows a changing programme of exhibitions related to heritage and art.
In 2006 the Museum’s art collection was substantially enhanced by a bequest from Clement Roebuck which is now known as the Roebuck Collection.
