At his death collector and amateur artist Clement Roebuck (1898–1988) bequeathed his personal collection of artworks to Craven Museum & Gallery in Skipton, Yorkshire. The particular strength of the 145 works in the collection are those from the 20th Century, many of which either celebrate the local landscape or are by artists of national significance, including Laura Knight, Stanley Spencer and John Nash. Developed in association with Grant Waters, Art Detective Group Leader: South East England, East England and the Midlands.
