Gouache on paper of York Minster and Lendal Bridge. This original artwork was then replicated to advertise York as a destination on Railway posters.

The scene depicted is a busy one with a military parade going over the bridge replete with gun carriages and mounted soldiers. There are several rowing boats on the River Ouse going under the bridge. There are several groups of people in brightly coloured clothes making their way in the direction of the Minster which looms over the city.
