The Hall houses many different and unique collections which provide a glimpse into the rich history of the Hall and the people associated with it. One such collection is that of the oil paintings which includes: 'Dutch Snow Scene with Skaters' by Jan Griffier the Elder, 'John Etty' by William Etty, 'Old Ouse Bridge' by Joseph Farington and more modern paintings like 'Group Portrait of the Company of Merchant Adventurers of the City of York' painted by Peter Mennim in 2003.
