Large squat obelisk on a chamfered base. There are inscription panels on each side of the obelisk, those to the First World War are integral to the stone, those to the Second World War are attached. The obelisk has carved panels at the top depicting the symbols of Sacrifice, Endurance, Victory and Courage and is surmounted by a granite sculpted stylised eternal lamp on a moulded base. Bronze lettering and a bronze frieze of laurels are applied to the granite at the top of the obelisk.
