'The benches were designed after discussions which included residents of the flats, who then worked with the artist to come up with a number of options for the design they felt would make the most visible difference to the grounds. Residents who were unable to attend the discussions and workshops also had a say in the final choice, as the proposed designs were distributed to every flat. The work was financed by Flintshire County Council.'
