The Friends of Islington Park embarked on a project to restore a weather-damaged mosaic artwork in the park. Originally created in 1992, the mosaic was designed by pupils from nearby St Philips School. For the restoration project in 2011, the Friends of Islington Park worked with the original pupils who created the mosaic and they in turn involved their own children. As of June 2019 it is seriously vandalised, probably irreparably.
