The family group is led by the father (rather than grandfather as in the sign) wearing a flat cap and jacket, with a bag around his neck and a mooring warp in his left hand. Behind him - on the side to the river - comes his wife with her shopping bag and small daughter who has grasped the handle. On the other side the older son holds the dog by his lead and places one hand on the signpost.
