This is a portrait of Katey Perugini, the second daughter of Charles and Catherine Dickens, painted by her husband Carlo Perugini around 1873–1875. Katey was a vivacious and strikingly beautiful young woman, as revealed in this delicate painting. She was also an avid and accomplished artist who exhibited at the Royal Academy, London.
