Sculptor, noted for his animal and bird studies, which were mostly modelled and cast, born in Lyndhurst, Hampshire. He was educated at Stowe School, then attended Cambridge University. Studied sculpting with Georg Ehrlich, then in Paris with Wells Bosworth and Paul Landowski. Exhibited widely, including RA, Leicester Galleries and Whitechapel Art Gallery. National Portrait Gallery and Aberdeen Art Gallery hold his work. A retrospective was held at Cannizaro Park, Wimbledon, in 1980, with one celebrating 50 years’ work at The Mall Galleries, 1997. Completed many public commissions, including Boy with a Dolphin, on Cheyne Walk, Chelsea, 1974; Girl with a Dolphin, St Katherine-by-the-Tower, 1975; and Five Swimmers Fountain, Elsmsleigh Precinct, Staines, 1980.
