Figurative sculptor, painter and draughtsman, brought up in Essex, who studied chemistry at college and married an architect who was a pupil of Frank Lloyd Wright in America. Amery studied there with a Japanese artist. Lived in the Middle East for 18 years, returning to London in 1978, sharing her time between a flat in Chelsea and an old mill-house in Cambridgeshire. Originally exhibited as a painter, group shows including Institute of Women Painters, Teheran, Iran, 1975; Loggia Gallery, 1978 (she was a member of the Society of Free Painters and Sculptors); and Trends, Mall Galleries, 1979. Later solo painting shows included Loggia, 1978. Turned to sculpture, mixed exhibitions including Chelsea Art Society, of which she was a member. Had a series of solo sculpture exhibitions at The Orangery, Holland Park.
