Thomas Saunders Nash
1891–1968
Painter of figure, rural and Biblical subjects, born in Walton on the Hill, Surrey. He studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, 1909–12, where he met such artists as Wadsworth, Nevinson and Stanley Spencer, who influenced his work, then attended government art classes at Reading, 1912–13.
