Dillington House is situated outside of the town of Ilminster and set in private parkland. The Dillington House collection consists principally of family portraits and contemporary paintings. The portraits belong to the Malet family who were an important historic family in Somerset who gave their name to Curry Mallet and Shepton Mallet. The contemporary art collection comprises of works acquired by Dillington over the years and works on long term loan from the Estate of Lionel Phillips.
Dillington House is Somerset's residential centre for adult education. It is also a busy conference and meetings venue, and hosts events such as weddings. All visits must be by prior arrangement.
