Artist and lecturer who attended Stourbridge College of Art, 1976–80, and Chelsea School of Art, 1980–1. She then took up a number of visiting lectureships, including West Sussex College of Design, Birmingham Polytechnic, Cheltenham College of Art and Waltham Forest College. Porter participated in Black and White from Rouge Press, Oriel Theatre, Clwyd, 1988; contributed Tower 1986, the front cover of The Women Artists Diary 1990; and was in East End Open Studios, at Beck Road, 1989.
