Nicknamed Jack Frost, this spiky metal sculpture of a man symbolises the fires that fuelled the city’s main industries of ceramics, mining and steelworks. The sculptor spent some time in Stoke-on-Trent looking for inspiration and said '... it hit me that the sculpture must have something to do with the great fires which dominated the life of the city'.
