When the 'Newport Ship' was unearthed during the construction of the Riverside Arts Centre, a 15th C find also included a skeleton. This sculpture is a representation of that lost sailor.

The Lost Sailor / By / Gan Sebastien Boyesen / Standing two metres high this laser cut steel it is an enigmatic recreation of the / skeleton that was found when the ship was discovered as the building was being / constructed. It depicts an imaginary story of who the person might have been.
