A freestanding cross memorial with a path in a grassy area surrounded by a low wall. It consists of a square plinth, with a slender stone shaft surmounted by a cross. Each side is panelled to receive the inscriptions and names in incised lettering. On the south face of the column is a shield with lion on it and below it is a sword with ribbon carved around the blade. The west face of the column has a shield with lion and saltire on it, and on the north face of the column is a shield with thistle and a crown. On the east face of the column is a shield with saltire on it. There are three names tablets for the First World War, an added tablet for the Second World War, and on the surrounding wall a plaque for a casualty from Afghanistan.
