William Littlejohn produced a number of similarly titled pieces in the 1960s and 1970s: 'I have used the title quite a few times… The background of the still life is based on Arbroath Harbour with harbour lights etc… at that time I was influenced by such painters as Georges Braque, Ben Nicholson and Robert Rauschenberg…', William Littlejohn, 2003.
