A still life group of flowers and fruit against a dark green background. Fruits in the right foreground include peaches, grapes and a melon, with a spray of primulas and forget-me-nots. To the left, in the foreground is a clump of grasses including clover leaves and a daisy, and a bird's nest containing several eggs. The floral bouquet comprises white and pink roses, a large white tulip streaked with scarlet, stephanotis, gentians and hollyhocks. Amongst the flowers are several creatures including Peacock, Red Admiral and Small Tortoiseshell butterflies, snails, beetles and caterpillars.
