The work features a square pillar with a column at each corner, and a pediment and cornice in four parts, the whole surmounted by a crown on a squat column. It is set on two-step plinth, in turn set on open space on top of shallow steps. The First World War names are on the sides of the main column, in gilt incised lettering, while the Second World War names are on a metal plaque fixed to the second level on a plinth at the front of the memorial. There is a gilt incised laurel wreath on the cornice, front and rear.
