A statue of a soldier with rifle raised, standing on top of a column. A typical infantryman is represented and 168 names are inscribed on the four sides of the plinth. The statue was unveiled by Sir Alington Bewicke-Copley, CB, KCB, of Sprotbrough Hall, with 3000 people in attendance.
