This sculpture is set directly on the cobbled quayside. Cabot sits on a weathered piece of wood, cast in bronze from timber found by the sculptor in the Avon. He gazes westward across the Floating Harbour, with his shoulder-length hair covered by a scarf. He wears a coarse open-necked shirt and his hands are crossed on his lap. Hanging from his waist on his right hip is a buckled bag.
