A multi-layered silver painted steel plate figures of people and a dog, carrying a banner, set on a concrete wall on the westwards platform of Jarrow Metro Station. The low relief sculpture commemorates the 207 Jarrow Marchers who, in 1936, walked from Tyneside to London to protest about the lack of jobs. The work is made from steel recycled from a scrapped ship.
