One of the four 'Ideal Heads' by the sculptor. This bust depicts a woman with a garland of flowers around her head. It is modelled after Canova’s sculpture titled ‘Dancer with her Hand on her Hips’ (Hermitage Museum), commissioned by Josephine Beauharnais (1763–1814), the first consort of Napoleon.

The bust was presented to the Duke of Wellington in 1817 by the sculptor in recompense for the Duke's efforts to restore art treasures to Rome that had been taken by the French to Paris.
