He is standing and facing forward with his arms at his side. He wears a dark blue suit with a waistcoat, and a white shirt with a tie. Two framed paintings on the wall behind him and to his left depict Fairfax House and the Merchant Adventurers’ Hall, in order to represent two of his major architectural achievements.
Dr Johnson designed the wrought-iron gates for the Merchant Adventurers’ Hall in 1994.
