Keith Grant studied at the Willesden School of Art and the Royal College of Art. He was formerly Head of Fine Art at what was then he Roehampton Institute, now Roehampton University. While there he was invited to go to Guyana to witness the launch of the University's first satellite UOSAT-1 on the Space Shuttle Ariane. Paintings of this were exhibited at the University in 1984. He exhibited and gave a lecture at the University in 2002 following an Artists Programme with the British Antarctic Survey. He lives in Gvarv, Norway.
