Three white, blue, and red flowers are in the background, together with two orange-tinted trees. The work is mainly two-dimensional: some depth is conveyed on the face and clothes of the man. The bottom and top of the painting are also shaded to suggest depth. The composition is framed by a painted orange square. This panel is part of a set of seven commissioned by Alfred Ospalak for ‘The Cries of London’ series.
