A mounted watercolour showing a view of Pavement with St Crux and All Saints’ Churches. This is a colourful and lively view with a market going on and plenty of pedestrians and transport. Although some buildings on the right still exist, including Sir Thomas Herbert’s House, all the buildings on the right have been demolished, including St Crux. All Saints’ Church still survives but in a reduced form. The row of buildings on the left have several Georgian shopfronts, including: ‘FETHERSTONE & C – READY MADE LINEN REPOSITORY’ and ‘WILLIAM CATTON’.
