Painter, draughtsman, printmaker and teacher, born in Kirkcaldy, Fife. She studied at Edinburgh College of Art, then trained as a teacher. Walker was then visiting teacher of art for all schools in Harris and North Uist in the Western Isles. After this Walker taught at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen, until she retired early in 1986. She then split her work between Aberdeen and the island of Tiree. In addition to a number of solo exhibitions Walker showed with RSA, RSW and RSA, of all of which she was a member. She was featured in Scottish Art in the 20th Century at RWA in 1991.
