Landscape artist in oil and watercolour, notably of Hebridean scenes, teacher, born in Solihull, Warwickshire. She studied at Edinburgh College of Art, teachers including William Gillies, William MacTaggart, James Cumming and Leonard Rosoman. She taught in primary and secondary schools and at Moray House College of Education in Edinburgh, where she settled, retiring early to paint full-time. Pope was a member of SSA, Scottish Arts Council and Aberdeen Artists, also exhibiting at RA and RSA. Had a series of solo shows at The Scottish Gallery from 1956–82; Loomshop Gallery, Lower Largo, 1979; Peter Potter Gallery, Haddington, 1980; then from 1983 at Macaulay Gallery, Stenton. Scottish Arts Council, Nuffield Foundation, Royal Bank of Scotland and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh hold examples.
