Sculptor, painter and teacher, born in Scarborough, Yorkshire. She studied at Wimbledon School of Art, 1958–62, then sculpture at Royal College of Art, 1962–6. Won a Sainsbury Award Grant in 1966. From 1966 taught sculpture at Winchester and West Surrey Colleges of Art and Wimbledon School of Art and was a visitor to Royal Academy Schools, 1974–6. Arts Council Major Award in 1976 was among several won. Solo shows included House, 1976; Taranman and DLI Museum and Arts Centre, Durham, both 1978; Aspex Gallery, Portsmouth, and Abbot Hall Art Gallery, Kendal, both 1981; and Duncan Campbell Contemporary Art, from 1993. Among many commissions were Saxon Column for Hamwick, Southampton, 1989–90, and Earthworks for Castle Park, Bristol, 1991.
