More about

The University of Nottingham art collection consists of some 526 items covering a broad range of subjects and media which have been acquired through purchase, gift and bequest. The works are distributed across the four main campuses at Nottingham in academic schools, halls of residence and principal administration buildings. There is no permanent gallery or storage space for the Collection. The Djanogly Art Gallery, the university-funded art gallery at the Lakeside Arts Centre, is a temporary exhibition space organising a year-round programme of contemporary and historic loan exhibitions. For further information on the programme see www.lakesidearts.org.uk The two principal coherent parts of the Collection, which include oil and acrylic paintings, are the Newcastle Bequest (of which the largest concentration is displayed in the Trent Building) and the Lakeside Arts Centre Collection displayed in the Arts Centre and Music Department.
