With just under 20,000 objects in its Collection, Royston Museum celebrates and shares Royston’s heritage and stories; connecting people and places, past and present. The Museum's art collection focuses chiefly on Ernest Herbert Whydale, who lived in the town until his death in 1952.

The Royston & District Museum & Art Gallery is open on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday all year round. A selection of paintings is on permanent display and others may be viewed by prior arrangement or when on temporary exhibition.
