More about

The Museum of Cardiff explores the city’s story and heritage, telling the history of Cardiff through the eyes of those who created the city – its people. The museum gives an introduction to the city’s history through engaging, interactive displays. It uses the stories of the people who have lived and worked in the city over past centuries to bring history to life. Our collection is an important part of Cardiff’s heritage and helps us to tell the city’s story, from the earliest times, through the industrial coal boom, to the present day. We collect items from the past, and from today to make sure we represent the diversity of Cardiff and its communities, past and present. The museum is open every day, 10am–4pm.
