The restored Control Tower of the former World War Two airfield at Dumfries is the centrepiece of the Museum and a listed building. Run by volunteers and enthusiasts, the Museum houses an expanding collection of aircraft, aero-engines and personal mementos, souvenirs and memorabilia honouring airborne forces and their civil support groups.

Opening times: early April or at Easter to October, Wednesday (11am–4pm), Saturday and Sunday (10am–4pm); in addition in July and August, Wednesday Thursday and Friday (11am–4pm). Groups and school parties welcome by appointment.
