The library is located in the centre of the historic town of Beith. The current branch opened in 1987 and before that the building housed shops and flats.

There are four portraits on permanent display. These can be accessed during library opening hours. There is no need to make an appointment. Opening Hours: Monday and Thursday: 1pm–5pm and 6pm–7.30pm; Tuesday and Friday: 10am–1pm and 2pm–5.30pm; Wednesday: Closed; Saturday: 10am–1pm and 2pm–5pm; Sunday: Closed. The library is open all year. Beith Library is fully wheelchair accessible.
