Peter John Morrell
b.1931
Painter and teacher, born in Newton Abbot, Devon. He was married to the artist Helene Halstuch. He attended Kingston College of Art, 1952–6; Royal College of Art, 1956–9, where his teachers included Ruskin Spear, Carel Weight and John Minton; and he was the winner of a British Institute Prize in 1955, Arts Council prize in 1959, and in that year the Prix de Rome in Painting.
