Melissa Munro is a freelance writer and curator.  After graduating from the University of St Andrews she became Art Officer at The Fergusson Art Gallery, Perth in 2008 and Senior Curator of the Derek Williams Trust Collection at Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales from 2008 until 2024.  Melissa curated the exhibition and co-authored the book John Piper: The Mountains of Wales in 2012. In 2017 she curated the major retrospective exhibition of Gillian Ayres at National Museum Cardiff and wrote the accompanying catalogue.  Melissa has also been published in Apollo.
