Dr Louisa McKenzie is an art historian based at the Warburg Institute in London. Her work focuses on the devotional art and material culture of late medieval and Renaissance Europe. Her first book, Re-materialising the Florentine Wax Ex-Voto: Production, Acquisition and Use between 1300 and 1500, will be published by De Gruyter. She also writes regularly about arts and culture for The Times.
