Jill Marriner has worked as a specialist for Christie's, Sotheby's, a variety of British art dealers and the Royal Collection, Windsor Castle. In 2000 she contributed to and appeared in Michael Palin's BBC programme on the Scottish Colourists, The Bright Side of Life. With Bill Smith, she co-wrote the 2012 biography, Hunter Revisited: The Life and Art of George Leslie Hunter and co-curated the accompanying retrospective, 'A Life in Colour' at the City Art Centre, Edinburgh and at The Fleming Collection, London.
