Iain Irving is an independent curator, producer and writer. He has a BA (Hons) in Product Design from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, and an MPhil from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. He is a former lecturer at Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen, where he taught in Contextual Studies and on the Masters course. Over the years he has worked on various curatorial and writing projects for CCA, Duff House, Drum Castle, Deveron Arts, LUX Scotland, Aberdeen Art Gallery, Art Quarterly and Beautiful Materials. He was also a coordinator on the Art UK Sculpture Project, and it was through this role that he experienced the work of William Lamb and Adam Christie. He lived in Catterline, Aberdeenshire, for many years but now lives in his home town of Edinburgh.
