Dr Hannah Williams is Reader in the History of Art at Queen Mary University of London. She is a specialist in French art with a particular interest in the Paris art world. Her books include Académie Royale: A History in Portraits (2015) and Artists' Things: Rediscovering Lost Property from Eighteenth-Century France (2024) (co-authored with Katie Scott). She is a founding editor of Journal18.
