One of two life-size statues that are set into the wall either side of the drawbridge at Edinburgh Castle. One of a pair with EDIN061 (Robert the Bruce). Wallace is set to the north, Bruce to the south. Wallace is shown in chain mail, with a sword and shield to the front, his cloak secured at the front by round decorative brooch. The statue sits in a sculptured niche with an ornate canopy.
